A research vessel towing an underwater camera has discovered a volcanic vent in the Southern Ocean north of Antarctica.
This vent differs from "classic" hydrothermal vents by being colder, although higher than surrounding seawater in levels of minerals such as lithium, boron and calcium.
Researchers leading the expedition, from England's National Oceanography Center at Southampton, also found remains of an old "chimney," formed when the water is much hotter, according to a release from the institution. This suggests the vent was once more active and likely supported a variety of strange life, including the kind found near other hydrothermal vents. This time, however, the cameras didn't find any such life at the vent, located at a depth of around 3,900 feet (1,200 meters).
The vent was found by an underwater camera called the SHRIMP and towed by the RRS James Cook in the Bransfield Strait, a little-explored region south of the Shetland Islands and north of the Antarctic Peninsula. Its presence was revealed by a fountain of shimmering water seeping through the seafloor; it shimmers because of its high concentration of minerals and differing salt content from surrounding ocean water.
Hydrothermal vents and underwater volcanoes have been discovered elsewhere in the Southern Ocean, and host a variety of unique life, including many previously unknown species.
The discovery was detailed by a study published recentlyin the online journal PLOS ONE.

You beat me to it, I was going to say "Isn't everything north of Antarctica"?
It doesn't help that later in the article it lists the 'Shetland Islands' and not 'South Shetland Islands'. I almost began to think I forgot which was the arctic and which was the antarctic.

But, oops, natural underwater volcanic activity... nahh, couldn't be that.
There is one way to find a saucer is a shadow that’s something you can’t hide –look at flash light and the shadow is left on the wall (wpb zoosuem)
Now think fisbee-the disc when thrown up through the atmosphere goes up until gravity and magnetic field pull it back in an arc the shadow is always on the surface of the floor and the only time when they meet is when the disc hits the floor the shadow arrives first –you could anticipate skyfall by the shadow first
Then the object lands –now say you use electromagnetic to try to catapult yourself across the universe – as the disc pulls against gravity spinning causing a tornado action below –the electromagnetic field increases more molecules are attracted to the disc making it denser heavier so it falls now at some point the disc would rotate in the different direction from the opposite way
So this means a disc creates a pull what happens to a ufo or flying saucer entering the atmosphere at an angle would rotation change-now trying to leave earth you could do it but it would loose power and get dragged back down in an arc that’s the key the return flight p[ath if it did not break atmosphere an remember rotation and angle of earths poles and how it lies-use universal time
So you need to use a cone created from the atmosphere in3 stages of density it comes off like light refection as a pyramid as the earth rotates the tail would be dragged –that is the best place to leave and enter the atmosphere to lessen density
Floridas in a cone –now really does the the rest seem far fetched –would you tempt fate or take a payoff
