Can You Choose to be Gay?

Discuss this post

We do not choose to be gay. That is already decided for us. How can someone be gay, if that person has no knowledge of sexuality?

Everyone has a knowledge of sexuality from the time they are children. Most children determine which sexual behaviors are appropriate and which are not. For instance, parents teach their little girls to " act like a lady" and all times. I think sexuality falls into this as well. Why can't someone accept the fact, that homosexuality can be a choice? I think they gay community has it ingrained into people's heads that it can't be. Nixon just proved this point that it can.

Why doesn't MSNBC start the discussion on homosexuality being a choice? Maybe its because they don't want to hear that it can be?

They will not do the story because not that it might be a choice but IT IS A CHOICE.

Of course there are those who it may be a choice however we have to understand that their sexuality most likely falls into the spectrum of bisexuality.

Many people are desperate to say sexuality is a choice, the underlying agenda here is possibly to debase or deride the common equality people want. Choice is a conscious and considered action. Therefore if being gay is choice, then it goes without saying being straight must be also be a choice.

If so when does the considered conscious choice happen ? I know I didn't chose, did you?
